Loved my meal and my service at the restaurant tonight. Food was phenomenal and service by Kylee was even better! Thank you L&L!

Still a 2 star sadly, maybe even 1 star...but I'll be somewhat generous, since I still ate it.

I normally go to the L&L location on Mae Anne (sometimes on S. Virginia) and never really ran into issues. Their customer service, timing, and quality of food are always on point. I am not exaggerating when I say I can eat L&L everyday, I used to eat it at least once or twice a week. When I got my wisdom teeth out, my first solid food was their loco moco and spam musubi. I'm just such an avid L&L fan, I love it.

However, I came to this location as it's closer to my work and it was my lunch break. I did have issues with this location a long time ago and decided to give it another try. Called, ordered ahead, and picked up my usual 1/2 order of BBQ Beef w/ all rice.

Location is perfect, right next to other chain restaurants as Panda Express, Baked Bear, Peg's, Starbucks, and such. It's just a little ways down Legends Shopping Center. Super convenient.

    CUSTOMER SERVICE: 3/5.
The young lady at the register did not greet me coming in, I was the one who started the conversation with a smile on my face. She wasn't smiling back or anything, so I just assumed she was not having a good day. I asked for a tiny thing of brown gravy on the side, and I wasn't informed that I got charged $1 something for it until I saw the receipt. No biggie, but communication is key.

    FOOD: 1/5...Awful.
It did not taste anywhere close to the ones I get from the other locations. The rice was mushy like undercooked. The beef was very under seasoned; it practically tasted like nothing, so I had to dip it in soy sauce, something for my taste buds. The brown gravy, that I paid for, was watery and actually tasted like water with a hint of gravy. I wasn't satisfied with it, but I did eat it as I was starving.

    OVERALL: 2/5.
I was just plain disappointed. I was on Keto diet, and this was my first craving after getting off it. I was extremely excited and talked highly of it to my coworkers. My coworkers have never tried L&L, so I had them take a bite of my food, and they said it was bland. I did agree, but it was just sad.

Regardless, I still love L&L's Hawaiian food. I understand this is just one bad experience from a specific location but it won't change my loyalty to the restaurant.

I decided to get the Chicken Katsu Plate
**Large portions, plenty of chicken and rice.  I would forego the macaroni salad next time, it doesn't really go with curry.  There needed to be more curry sauce, as the top of the plat had plenty, but as you got further in there wasn't enough.  This was my first time trying their curry, and I wasn't that impressed.  It didn't taste bad, but I cannot remember the last time I ordered a curry dish and didn't really taste curry.  Then again, we didn't really smell curry either.

My wife got the BBQ Chicken Plate.  No feedback either way.

There is a try on the front counter that contained several different sauces that one can use.  Once of the container's was leaking fluid whenever used.  We pointed this out and the young lady simply cleaned up any mess, as a result of use, but didn't replace the container.

We ordered this through door dash. The driver was fantastic. But this is the 2nd time I have found hair in my macaroni  it's disgusting and we will not eat here any more. This is a pretty gross location.
